Objectives and competences

General objectives of the Degree in Applied Languages ​​and Translation

The objectives of the Degree in Applied Languages ​​and Translation are the following:

  1. Produce and correct texts in the Catalan and Spanish languages ​​with an expert level and in those of the English and French languages ​​with an advanced level.
  2. Translate texts from French and English into Catalan and Spanish.
  3. Manage multiculturalism and multilingual environments efficiently in diverse environments.
  4. Evaluate and design dynamization and linguistic revitalization plans.
  5. Evaluate and design planning and teaching materials related to language teaching.
  6. Participate in the development of resources and applications of linguistic technology.
  7. To know the literature produced in the mentioned languages ​​and the culture of countries of English language and French language in order to be able to influence the improvement of communication processes in a multicultural framework.
